The Truth About Booksignings

I first saw Parnell Hall's hilarious video on the lovely JoAnn Ross’ blog, and I couldn’t help sharing it with my Novel Spaces friends.

I laughed so hard (to keep from crying) I clicked over to Amazon and bought one of his books!

Enjoy! And have a great weekend!

I posted his video on my web site too! Hopefully, the 200,000+ hits he's had on YouTube will translate into book sales. It took guts to be so honest ...

Yes. THIS video is hilarious and somewhat scary, as well. It was good to see the author find humor in the situation though. Hopefully he experiences a good amount of success along his travels.

I was cracking up @ where his publicist scheduled three more signings. *gasp*

Oh, oh, oh. Who hasn't felt his pain, lol. Maybe Mary Higgins Clark. LOL.

lol! That was so funny I was falling off my chair. Yet it tells of an author's biggest fear... a book signing with nobody.

I always bring my knitting so I don't look so needy.

Like a lot of romance authors, I also bring chocolates. When people eyeball the candy I say, "You don't have to buy my book to eat the candy. And you can have as much as you want!" That usually gets me a few "friends" - until the candy runs out.

This is so funny! A laugh and a tear, that's what it brings.
